Hostel Villa Carmen is a large old Spanish mansion. It is Located just outside Bocairent (Valencia, Spain), in the nature reserve of the Sierra Mariola. Hostel Villa Carmen has magnificent views of the medieval village of Bocairent, this gets even more spactacular in the evening when all the lights go on.

Villa Carmen is located at 600 meters altititude with a garden of 13.000 square meters. Here you will find over 200 Olive trees, several walnut and almont tress and a fruit orchard with a variety of fruit trees. In front of the house there is an area with pine trees and hammocks to relax, a sportsfield to run around and a green lawn at the side of the swimmingpool with lots of shade . Here you will also find a shower and toilet room and a paellero to do the dishes.

Villa Carmen is an old house. how old it is can nobody actually tell us. The only indication we have is the stone placed at the well dated 1906. We expect that the house, or parts of it are much older and that people where living here already for a long time because of the lacation and because they had fresh water from the spring.

Villa Carmen is approx. 900m2 and it still contains a lot of its original features like old floors, build-in closets and old windows with old spinned glass in it. While restaurating the house, we try to preserve the old details or even bring them back were we can. In the entrence hall the is still an old well hidden under the floor.
